AMERICAN PASTRIES CLASS ON 15th SEPT.2013

Our class on the 15th Sept. which was a Sunday saw a full class and we were caught off guard with some who had registered at the last minute due to the holidays. Anyway, it was a wonderful experience to teach a hands-on class with that many people. We had students from Uplands International School and we also had two very young eleven year old Japanese girls who joined the class. These youngsters showed tremendous interest to learn the art of creative baking and decorating. We also taught them some simple form of buttercream icing and they came up with some pretty designs on their cakes.

TEAM BUILDING BAKING WORKSHOP WITH MATTEL GLOBAL ON 13th SEPT. 2013

This was our first workshop with Mattel Global and were are honoured to be chosen to host their team building event.  About 36 participants arrived after their lunch and we started with the baking activity as planned. They chose to bake the French Macarons, Hokkaido Cupcakes and French Creme Brulee.

This was a first time for most of the participants to ever come close to baking and we are glad to say that amidst their corporate stature, they excelled in baking the elusive French Macarons. For first timers, all of them were able to bake their macarons with the generic frilly feets and also bake billowy soft Hokkaido Cupcakes. Some of them also were eager and brave enough to' flambe' their creme brulee with a blow torch. It was indeed a successful team building and we sincerely hope they had as much fun as we did hosting the event. We also take this opportunity to thank Ms Goh for trusting us to host their team building baking event and we hope to work more with Mattel Global in future.

TEAM BUILDING BAKING WORKSHOP FOR INTEL ON 11th SEPT.2013- CREATIVE CUPCAKES

TEAM BUILDING BAKING WORKSHOP FOR INTEL ON 9th SEPT. 2013 - DESSERT CAKES

Intel had their their team building baking workshop at PG CakeCraft last week on 9th Sept. It was a fruitful event and the participants were excited to don their aprons (graciously given by PG CakeCraft) and get friendly with flour, butter and eggs. They chose to bake Brooklyn Blackout Cake and Black Forest Cake. I think there 4 to 5 groups with each group comprising of 5 participants. After a short introduction of the ingredients and method of baking, the participants wasted no time to start baking.

The pictures of the cakes below baked by them speaks volumes of their commitment to the task although they did not have prior baking or culinary experience. We managed to snap some of the group's cake before they were cut and divided.

We wish to thank Intel from the bottom of our hearts for trusting us with their team building programme.
