I couldn't resisit posting this picture of our Opera Cake which was cut into slices. The glistening ganache is just like a mirror reflecting images.We have decorated our Opera Cake with gold chocolate instead of the gold leaf which is not available here.
We had twenty people who attended our European Patisseries class on 20th June and we formed four groups with five people in each group. Each group made all the three cakes shown below and we are happy to note that all our students were able to bake the cakes perfectly with our guidance. Below are pictures of the cakes made by each group.
All classes at PG CakeCraft are hands-on as we believe practice is the essence of achievement.
In this class, a different approach to the method of cooking naisi lemak was taught. Malaysians perenial favourite breakfast, the nasi lemak was steamed instead of cooking in rice cooker. The result was a more fragrant and fluffy rice which was accompanied with a variety of dishes.
These Red Velvet cupcakes were ordered by a staff from the French School, Francaise Alliance, Penang. I tweaked Martha Stewart's recipe and the cupcakes came out more moist. The cupcakes were frosted with a light cream cheese frosting.
These are the only pictures that was stored in my camera which we are able to post here. The remaining cake pictures of the other three groups who attended the class on 29th June were accidentally deleted from my camera. The pictures taken on 6th July during our European Patisseries class were completely deleted from my camera, also accidentally. Our sincere apologies to those whose cakes are not pictured here.
